First of all, I used 3 different colors. Can't tell, can you? I parted my hair all zig zag and all over the place and then I dipped part of it in blue food coloring, part in pink food coloring, and part in purple food coloring. And this is what I got. A light pink color. I should mention I dropped the food coloring into warm water. So basically I wanted three bright colors and got this one faded color instead.
Here's what I think happened. I think I didn't use enough food coloring. I plan to try again. When I do something successfully, I'll give the exact steps.
I know it didn't come out like you planned, but it's really cute!! The pink and blonde is adorable together!! I didn't even know you could do this with food coloring! Cool!
ReplyDeleteIt's a little more pink than it actually shows. Idk why my camera doesn't capture the color very well. Maybe I need to try to take pictures in natural lighting. I loved your post about the Hombre lol. It really does look like extreme roots when it's that dramatic. Thanks for commenting on my blog.
DeleteYou can play around more with food coloring, but you have to be careful, because it can stain if you drop it. I did rainbow to my hair last year, but i didn't get a picture of it. I also used art chalks from Michael's. Great post!

How did you do that with food coloring? I bought two different brands of food coloring and can't get them to work on my hair. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
